October 18, 2014 Weekly Wrap-Ups No Comments

Fall is in full swing here in New Jersey. The leaves are at peak or just past it and I’m starting to feel that tug to burrow into someplace warm with a good book. :) But my work here at LSQ beckons, too, and so I’m rounding up this week’s posts for your enjoyment. (Don’t forget you can get these delivered to your inbox!)

The week started off with Elizabeth Sharp McKetta’s Mythic Memoir post for this month, discussing some of the problems with writing autobiographical works.

I wrote an essay on the ephemeral nature of comic books, and talked about the ebb and flow of the ongoing comic book series.

Miller MacInnes Bradford profiled Rookie Mag writer Brodie Lancaster, and admitted to a love of Kimye. :)

KC Maguire offered up another book for your to-read stack, William Sleator’s “House of Stairs“.

And Icy Sedgwick asked “Who’s afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?” in her awesome ongoing series on horror writing.

Next week there will be a big announcement here on the blog, so I highly encourage you to stay tuned. And don’t forget to come enjoy our latest regular issue with this month’s featured story “The Stone Children” by Shannon Norland.

See you next week!

Jennifer
